Arrival at Kigali International Airport & Transfer to your Hotel

Kigali & Volcanoes National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and begin your day with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful site that offers deep insight into Rwanda’s history and resilience. After the visit, enjoy lunch in Kigali before continuing your journey north toward Musanze, the gateway to the Virunga volcanic region.
On arrival in Musanze, you will check in and settle into the area near Volcanoes National Park, home to the famous mountain gorillas. Spend the evening at leisure as you prepare for your upcoming adventure in the park, surrounded by the stunning volcanic landscapes of northern Rwanda.
Mountain Gorilla Trekking
After an early breakfast, transfer to Volcanoes National Park for a pre-trek briefing, where park rangers will assign you to a specific gorilla family and explain the trekking guidelines. You will then set off into the forest for your gorilla trekking adventure, hiking through the lush volcanic slopes in search of the assigned group.
Once you locate the gorillas, you will spend a remarkable one hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watching their behavior up close—feeding, playing, and interacting—while your guide shares insights into their ecology and conservation.
